30th Publication!
I’m excited to announce my 30th piece of short fiction published, The Thirty Second Burn included in Damned Words 20 on Pen of the Damned. Damned Words is a collection of flash fiction by the dark minds behind Pen of the Damned, each story exactly 100 words long, inspired by a photograph. There are some killer stories in this collection well worth the read!

Karen’s Explorer inched to a stop in front of the Parish home.
“Do you believe officer Emmert’s voicemail?” Asked Allen.
“Not really,” returned Karen.
“You don’t sound so sure.”
“Because I am not. Think of it: a time lapse of three hours is less believable than everything else we have heard.”
“It would explain why emergency services arrived hours after he did.”
She turned to him and scoffed.
“That is fictional at best. He was—and probably still is—in shock from what happened and it is logical that he is exaggerating that fact. I mean, you don’t go into a home for less than ten minutes and come out and have it be hours later. It just doesn’t make sense,” Karen opened the door and stepped out into the frigid twilight. “Are you ready?”
“Always,” said Allen.

The end of 2016
2016 had its bad moments and hard times. But it’s been the most productive and successful year for my writing career ever! For me, it makes dealing with the negative completely worth it. Despite what reality has in store for me in 2017, I’ll continue kicking ass.
